AI
Milk and a culture. Kefir ferments at room temperature with its grains, which grow and can be given away. Yogurt needs steady warmth for a few hours. Cultured cream and butter use cultures that work at room temperature.
How it works
By the hour, not the week
Dairy ferments fast: kefir is ready in a day and yogurt in an afternoon. That is why the app follows them by the hour and tells you when to strain or chill.
The rules
- Pasteurized milk: raw milk can carry bacteria that fermentation does not remove.
- Everything clean: the jar, the strainer and the spoons.
- If mold appears or it smells rotten, throw it out.
