Community rules
The community is for learning to ferment together. These rules keep it useful and kind.
Nobody says something is safe
Botulism can’t be seen or smelled, and mold can hide. That’s why nobody here, neither the AI nor people, tells anyone their jar is safe. We share experience, cite the guides and, when in doubt, throw it out. A post that assures something is safe, or urges eating what the guides say to throw away, is held until a person reviews it.
The AI’s answer
Every question gets a first answer from Fervida within seconds, made with AI and marked as such. It uses your recipe’s figures, what its sources say and what you logged in your jar, and never contradicts them. It is the first help, not the last word: then people reply.
What is posted
Questions and conversations about fermenting, ingredients, equipment and your jars; your results in “My jars” and in the monthly challenge. Beginners’ questions are welcome: nobody is born knowing.
What isn’t
Advertising or spam, insults, harassment, sexual or violent content, other people’s personal data and anything that has nothing to do with food. No selling cultures, SCOBYs or grains either: share them for free if you like.
How it is moderated
Before it goes out, every post goes through an automatic review that publishes it, turns it down with a note so you can fix it, or leaves it for a person. If three people report a post, it is hidden until we review it. Whoever breaks the rules again and again can no longer post.
Two languages
Write in English or Spanish: every post is translated into the other language with AI, and the page says when you are reading a translation.
